Ex-Prime Minister Koizumi in Ultraman

It’s not everyday that politics and voice actors merge.. but that’s the case today!

Junichirō Koizumi, the charismatic former prime minister who was the last Japanese head to serve more than two years in office, will be making his voice-acting debut in Daikaijū Battle: Ultra Ginga Densetsu The Movie (Giant Monster Battle: Ultra Galactic Legend The Movie). Koizumi will play Ultraman King, an ancient Legendary Hero in the Ultra family. The live-action special-effects film will open in Japan on December 12.

Apparently Koizumi has been in a manga before and now it’s turning into an anime!

Due to his high visibility during his 2001-2006 tenure, Koizumi has appeared in both anime and manga, although Koizumi has never performed as a voice actor until now. Hideki Ohwada’s Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku “politics x mahjong action” manga (pictured at left) will be adapted into an anime. In this political parody, Koizumi plays a special form of “mahjong diplomacy” against foreign adversaries such as George W. Bush, Kim Jong-il, Vladimir Putin, Margaret Thatcher, and others.

So a live action movie and an anime! I guess I could do politics and then voice acting? sounds like fun.

Saved!

Welcome 44th USA President~
Barack Obama
No more GW.Bush starting January 20th!
Thank God Mc Cain didn’t win… Americans saved themselves from having to deal with a human being as Palin. I guess now they can say: We finally did it. Now the circle will be broken and things will flow again. United States will have a new face.
Just be patient, changes don’t happen from one day to another.
